  • Each AMACS course (Levels 1 -3) consists of Nationally Recognised Units Of Competency from the Sport, Fitness and Recreation Training Package. 
  • Completion of ALL THREE levels will earn you a nationally recognised SIS30115 Certificate III in Sport and Recreation.
  • We recommend starting with AMACS Level 1, however AMACS Levels can be completed in any order you wish.

  2. Enter your school or clubs Partner Program Secure Access Enrolment Key (if a Program Partner school - your Head Instructor will provide this to you).

    AMACS Level 1  

    Aimed at self-defence instructors in a community recreation environment.
     

    • Instructing others in basic unarmed self-defence skills against a single, unarmed opponent
    • Undertaking hazard identification and risk-analysis in relation to activities 
    • Applying general work health and safety requirements 
    • Implementing basic warm up and cool down programs to prepare for activity and aid in post-activity recovery.

     
    The course consists of four (4) Nationally Recognised Units and provides credit towards SIS30115 Certificate III in Sport and Recreation.

    UNIT CODE AND TITLE:  

    • BSBWHS303 Participate in WHS hazard identification, risk assessment and risk control
    • HLTWHS001 Participate in workplace health and safety
    • SISXCAI004 Plan and conduct programs
    • SISCSDF301A Instruct the basic skills of unarmed self defence    


    Enrolment Period: 12 months

    Delivery Mode: Self-paced, Online

    Assessment: Combination of theoretical knowledge and practical skill assessments

    AMACS Level 2  

    Aimed at coaches or instructors of a particular martial arts discipline or style in a community recreation environment. 
     

    • Planning, conducting and evaluating drills, activities and games of your particular martial art or discipline to an intermediate level.
    • Providing quality customer service and coordinating and monitoring an appropriate response to emergency situations.
    • Conducting and evaluating individualised and group-based training sessions, games or competitions. 


    The course consists of five (5) Nationally Recognised Units and provides credit towards SIS30115 Certificate III in Sport and Recreation.

    • SISXCAI003 Conduct non-instructional sport, fitness or recreation sessions.
    • SISXCCS001 Provide quality customer service
    • SISXEMR001 Respond to emergency situations
    • SISXCAI006 Facilitate groups
    • SISSMAR201A Teach the intermediate skills of martial arts

    AMACS Level 3  

    Aimed at experienced coaches or instructors to further develop creative and critical thinking strategies and processes and challenge existing thought patterns especially in business management and leadership.
     

    • Planning, conducting and evaluating an intermediate unarmed self-defence program.
    • Development of creative thinking skills to assist identification of personal and business opportunities.
    • Manage schedules through planning and negotiation 
    • Review, compare and use different social media tools


    The course consists of five (5) Nationally Recognised Units and provides credit towards SIS30115 Certificate III in Sport and Recreation.

    *HLTAID003 Provide first aid 
    *Participants are required to already hold (or obtain) a current provide first aid certificate (HLTAID003) to qualify for admission to the AMACS Level 3 course.
